Clare Malloy's paintings have a mysterious simplicity. Sparse backgrounds offset her saturated colors lifting inanimate objects to a state of timeless glory. A detached calmness lingers around her figures. Rich and poignant, these intimate objects are slightly surreal but satiated with beauty. The artist received her MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has exhibited her works from coast to coast. See also Clare Malloy's Landscape Pastels.
