Albert Benedict experiments with surface and texture, emphasizing principles of design to create playful and imaginative ceramic forms. Influenced by extensive travel through the rural Southwest, and inspired by Native American and Mexican culture, Benedict’s non-traditional forms incorporate elaborate surfaces with an array of animated colors. With an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Albert Benedict’s work appears in art museums and private collections throughout the country.
