Tory Folliard Gallery - Jeremy Popelka

For more than thirty years Jeremy Popelka has worked as a glass artist and educator. After exploring techniques with notable glass artists such as Dale Chihuly, Marvin Lipofsky, Bertil Vallien, and Joe Phillip Meyers, Popelka currently practices a sand casting method, where he achieves a high level of detail with organic and architectural forms. Besides sharing his knowledge and technique through workshops in his Door County, Wisconsin studio, Polpeka has been a visiting artist at prestigious glass programs such as Pilchuk and the Oxbow School of Art. Popelka's sculpture can be found in many private and public collections, and his work has been featured in the national publications: Craft's Report, New Glass Review, and American Craft.
